Marc Pierce describes his songs as “soul-searching stories of love gone awry.” His are tales of woe, of the women who wouldn't stay, and the ones who stayed too long. But don’t be misled. Rather than being sad, cry-in-your-beer tunes, Marc uses his satirical wit and command of word play to make his songs uplifting for the downtrodden. Rounding out Marc’s original material are songs about dogs, chickens, social networking, Santa Claus, and fishing.
Growing up in the musically impaired city of Mobile, Alabama, Marc began playing guitar, piano, and drums at age six and performed with his father at bluegrass festivals throughout the south. High school years were spent performing at school functions, Mardi Gras, and the Leakesville, Mississippi VFW. Marc continued to play in "honky-tonk" and frat party bands during college before offering his talents to the U.S. Navy where he performed for his fellow sailors in the Persian Gulf. Marc then spent ten years in Nashville performing with satire/parody/comedy act, Laughing Storm Dogs and the country/soul band, Mostly John, developing an eclectic fan ba
